Scaring children since 2007

Jonna Björnstjerna was born in 1983 in Eskilstuna, Sweden. She trained at Serieskolan in Malmö and at Saint Martins in London, where she studied illustration and graphic design.

Her books are full of dark humour and cheap thrills, and the kids love it!

The amazing Rabbits have won the Bokjuryn prize twice, which is a competition where Swedish children vote for their favourite book of the year. Monstret i skogen (The Monster in the Woods) and Godistrollet (The Sweetie Troll) won the picture book category in 2007 and 2010. The amazing Rabbits have made their way over to Asia, too, and are published in Japan, China and Korea.

In 2019 Jonna won the Carl von Linné award together with Josefin Johansson for their book Drottningsylt, which is a funny take on the history of Sweden's queens.

Jonna currently lives in Bristol with her inner demons (Clive and Peggy) and her fiancée Ben.
